Many of the varieties of food plants growing at Luna Hill are plants that grow in similar climate zones around the world. Where traditionally gardeners in the Pensacola climate zone stop growing during the hot-humid summers because “nothing grows”, these world varieties grow quite well in our climate zone; produce abundant food; and, have delicious multi-cultural recipes attached. They also oftentimes come with an added benefit — no resident pests to ruin the harvest.
